HELP career in the FBI?
Does the FBI to pursue a good career. "Can you make money to live a good life? What are good universities so you have a good position to take the FBI, but the reason for his graduation. Could it help control?
A bachelor's degree is required for positions of federal Special Agent (very few exceptions). Any use not responsible acceptable, but the law may be beneficial. Everything is important, acceptable, criminal justice, sociology, psychology, standing or can be better place. Those who meet the minimum requirements can not compare very well with the most qualified candidates, and there are always more candidates than seats. The FBI wants to lawyers and accountants, but rental of various origins, with at least three years of employment history (http://www.fbijobs.gov/). Other Federal Employment Agency must be available at https: / / my.usajobs.gov / login.aspx. I recommend that important in Psych and minor in chief (even though I majored in CJ). GPA, testing, physical condition, work experience, possibly a polygraph, the ability to communicate orally and writing the degree is what determines who is hired. And, again, there are always more candidates than positions. There are many items of special agents (for example, DEA, ICE, NCIS), in what was and still is I suppose the number of 1811 jobs (1810 researchers are no weapons, no arrest authority.) Also There are law enforcement related positions in the Department of Homeland Security and other agencies, such as postal inspector or Border Patrol agents, which could be open to college 2 years or less. And there are federal police agencies (eg Department of Veteran Affairs, Treasury, Federal Protective Service). Air Marshals work for the Department of Sec, a very boring (which does the job in comparison the film Groundhog Day). Alcohol, Firearms and Explosives Snuff (the bombings, arson, criminals with guns) is in the Department of Justice. You also consider the United States Marshals Service. They two divisions, one to investigate fugitive, and has the same structure as other major federal agencies. Most federal agencies have an Inspector General Special agents with the authority more or less. State Department also has special agents and the IRS (tax evasion and money laundering, which is not as boring as it sounds). State Department officials tour offices abroad, and not the details of protection (other than Heads of State) visa and passports in violation of the United States. It is also the fish and wildlife special agents. I attended the formation of the secret services and protection of information involved in the personal protection of the Commissioner of Customs. Details of protection requires careful planning and executing events that occur rarely, and they are boring. USSS protective details require frequent travel, which makes the poor family. Competition Research of USSS is not all lobbyists (counterfeiting, cybercrime, financial crimes). The FBI is offering the possibility to achieve the greatest variety of surveys, with the opportunity to specialize in one area of interest or working in an Embassy legal attache. I was acting Customs Attaché in Panama for about a month, and is interesting if you like that sort of thing. My advice is to apply general as many places as possible, and accept the first offer. So if this is not where you want to be, continue to apply. It is not uncommon to find some former employees of other agencies work to another agency, and it is easier to find a job if you have a job.
