Why spend a lot of money to host the Olympics?
We need competition, we need sports but not waste money to display the wealth and power. We can do even without all the fanfare. There are millions of hungry and without eminities base.
I understand your concern, but the preparation largest sporting event in the world is obviously the cost of money, if you think that helps the economy of many countries and is one of the only things that brings world to a point in common! I'm sure you can see how important this is? In addition, the Olympics has created many jobs for many unemployed people in China. But I agree that more must be done to help the poor help themselves.
