Looking for the best photography forums (S / N)?

I am an active member of www.fredmiranda.com (especially in the sports forum) and am looking to supplement my networking, interaction and learning with other similar photography forums, which have a signal to noise (little fluff, very flame wars small, etc..) The site should have a decent amount of movement of professionals, semi-professionals and serious amateurs. Do not look for a comparable dpreview.com forums full of people you just bought your first digital camera. Other forums that I found (openphotographyforum, photocamel, etc) seem to have very little traffic in the areas I am interested to participate, mostly sports, portrait, nature and wildlife, post-processing, lighting, and the business side "of photography. A / Sell Buy area is nice, but not required. Basically I'm looking to see if there is another site that is not useful and beneficial fm.com. free sites are good, but at a low cost (less than $ 100) for an asset, a useful forum is also acceptable.

First, I agree that Fred Miranda forums are completely adequate. I am also according to dpreview. sometimes useful, but a lot of nonsense. Sometimes that's all I can do to see some of the "Pro" forum because it was infested of people who think that images licensed for use, forever, for $ 1 to Microstock companies is a good idea and makes "pro." The thing is learning dpreview what people are always looking for meaning and their positions and not lose too much time reading through useless son long. What are dpreview that makes it very useful however, is a very full comments. SportsShooter recommend as sports photography is one of their interests and because the subjects are not in any way limited in sports photography. SportsShooter is full of talented, helpful and just looking through the archives of messages reveal a wealth of information. Handbags Members are also inspiring, there are many good articles, and there is a classified section. Becoming a member requires a model portfolio and a sponsor of the limb higher, but well worth it. Anyone can read the screen, but you must belong SportsShooter. Only $ 25, but will easily pay for itself. Photo.net is another worth checking out. It has a large number of sub-forums on a wide range of topics and, in general, the SNR is high enough. There is also an area where you can submit a portfolio, ask Review, a classified section, news and comments. I also like the magazine PDN forums. (And, incidentally, NDS is a great magazine, too.) Lightstalkers is also worth a look – which is heavily populated by photographers and my membership has been a contact me for the mission editor:. And even if the forums – but are associated Flickr group – there are two links that I definitely recommend Strobist, which is a resource exceptional lighting, and John Harrington Photo Business News & Forum Blog. I hope it's useful. This will keep you busy!
