Why is 40 considered "old" in professional sports?
Why are boys more or less forced to withdraw from professional sport through 35-40 years of age? Are the more experienced players then? No losing teams an advantage?
Age is relative and showing that ignorance among people who cling to this theory. I just turned 44 and I can still play tennis and racquetball at the same speed, strength and accurately than when I was 25 years, and so-called experts say the tennis players advanced to 28. People tend a little weight as they age, but this idea that people are "old" in the mid-thirties and forties is a pile of shit. They recently made a general study of men in their 50 years to keep in shape. They found that men in their 50s are in better physical condition than most people in their 20s. It was by a narrow margin, but took my nephew 18 years old, racing just 100 yards away a few weeks. These guys who talk like crazy and need to catch up. 40 is the new 30 and there are many of us out there that show everyday. These fats, hair loss, sports commentators are projecting their negative throughout the world. Men who are in their 30, 40 and 50 are in the prime of life, care for them.
