Is not this illegal? Lining up putts with the name in the golf ball?
I see many professionals using the brand of golf ball line to the line of putt their time to put the ball on the green after cleaning. I've even heard that it is a good technique when they do "tricks" to television. But I remember that the use of a mark as the ball was when the Green is specifically against the rules of golf …. What's up?
No, this is not a violation of the rules. Many golfers put a mark around the circumference of the ball and use it as an online reference implementation. Not seems to be allowed, but it is.
