Okay, everyone likes looking at statistics about who’s going to be the best and all the hype for best player. Okay, forget the first round picks, the second round picks and third round picks. Who is your best player(s) who came in the fourth round and later or even undrafted but still made it as a very great football player and even pro bowler. Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor, and Tom Brady are some good examples.
Are you talking about predictions for this draft or just in the past, not really into making big predictions but keep an eye out on Mike Thomas (Jacksonville selected him with their 4th round pick). He set several Arizona (I know it’s Arizona) records but he also set Pac-10 records for receiving, he’s the perfect slot Receiver for the NFL and he ran a faster 40 then Percy Harvin at the combine.
For historical purposes, you’ve mentioned some but you can keep going just in recent memory Jake Delhomme, Willie Parker, James Harrison, and Kurt Warner weren’t even drafted, T.J. Houshmanzedah went in the 7th round as did Matt Cassel I believe. Then you have HOF quarterback Joe Montana (3rd round), HOF center Mike Webster (5th round) HOF receivers Fred Biletnikoff (3rd round in the NFL) and Bob Hayes (7th round), just to name a few, there are numerous players to go in the later rounds to achieve NFL greatness you have to have the heart and some luck at staying healthy.
