Why the Xtreme Football League (XFL) Double Up after a season?
In 2001, the Xtreme Football League (XFL) was created by WWE founder Vince McMahon. The XFL wanted to become a professional soccer league game after the NFL season is over, but at the end of the season, XFL folded and closed its doors. Why is the XFL folds after just one season of play and what are the reasons why not become a success?
The XFL folded after the 2001 season, has failed to find an audience itself, which results in the league folded operations. A further reason for demise of the XFL was the lack of respect for the sports press, which means that the critics have treated as XFL games and sports competitions, like the tabloid WWE-like events. Some critics have argued that the XFL never got the recognition should be considered a viable league since NBC and co-owner of the XFL, it becomes difficult to get all the game results reported by ESPN and Fox Sports Net for both cable networks declined to report on the XFL. Local newspapers and news Local television refused to report results or show highlights of the league, the fans that leads to treating the XFL as a joke rather than a competitor NFL. TV Guide noted that the number 3 in XFL worst TV shows of all time in July 2002, while ESPN ranked the No. XFL as 2 in the list of the greatest failures in sport, behind Ryan Leaf.
