2009 New York Giants Fantasy Football Preview
New York Giants have failed in their attempt to repeat the fall of the Super Bowl for the Eagles Philadelphia 23-11 division playoffs. The loss of Plaxico Burress, who was shot by accident not in the leg with a pistol, and then suspended and released from undoubtedly contributed to the downfall of the Giants. The Giants have never had the threat of depth after the departure of Burress as Dominick Hixon and Steve Smith had miserably failed to fill his shoes. What the Giants have in store for fantasy owners in the position of the season to come? Eli Manning is a real number 1 QB fantasy? I doubt that Manning will never separate from the shadow of his older brother, but he has a Super Bowl ring and when they have the best weapons at your disposal can be a sufficient number one fantasy quarterback but a low-end. 2008 witnesses Manning throw 3238 yards with 21 TD and 10 INT. The loss of the above kept Burress Manning certainly show a greater number and the Giants led by the hole in the wording WR Hakeem Nicks, North Carolina with his first choice. Nicks has captivated the nation last year with his glass behind the capture and return of Hope gives a pulse Gmen circus similar to Manning and the passing game. Personally, as I write this Manning is about to be a very low final 1 number 2 QB QB high level. For years, the Giants have had a dominant game run known as "Earth Wind and Fire, which produced two decent options for fantasy owners. The Earth is obviously Bruiser Brandon Jacobs, the wind Tampa took from (Derrick Ward), and fire (Ahmad Bradshaw) is still in the list and appears to have a larger role in the Giants offense with the departure of Ward. Season ago, Jacobs has only played only 13 games but managed to rush for 1089 yards and a TD incredible 15. Find out more of the same this season Jacobs Giants have always been and will always be the first team to handle. If he can stay healthy, has a real chance to establish good relations with the numbers in the backfield Ward. Jacobs Project number two cousins with a fantasy draft RB see around round 3 or 4. The Giants' receiving corps is the main reason to be careful Manning and Hixon, Smith and David Tyree's eyes scare anyone. Osi Umenyiora led by LB Antonio Pierce and the Giants DST is generally a more reliable units that could be started. Last season, the Giants ranked second in total defense flight Tennessee Titans and the third against the run. Consider the Giants DST Top 10 positions in 2009, as battles still robust NFC East base.
