NFL Picks Week 12 based on the spirit of Thanksgiving: 2009 Week 12 NFL Picks
Week NFL Picks 12 based on the spirit of Thanksgiving: Last week I took a philosophy that things were going in the NFL starting to make sense. If at least five favorites covering spreads and defending Super Bowl champions lost to the leaders represent the order, then it is difficult not to believe in anything.
This week, regardless what any expert tells you, down to the speculation.
Browns' offensive explosion and the Lions indicative of things to come, or catastrophic defense products? Are the Steelers really lose to the Chiefs, and what level is Ben Roethlisberger
play against an uncompromising defense of Baltimore? How six teams face a week of short answer to the timeliness of the three days?
Nobody knows, but maybe, just maybe, the spirit of generosity will be in the league for the holiday weekend.
(Home team in capital letters.)
DETROIT (11) more Green Bay
From the beginning, at 1230 hours, an answer to the question of the Lions will be granted. My inclination is to side with the Packers. Aaron Rodgers has played as real NFL quarter lately, Matthew Stafford gutsiness – although certainly daring – not enough in the tank gutsiness to drain to back victories ( winning play Thurs say Stafford was "courageous" by the way).
However, injuries to Aaron Kampman and Al Harris, there are enough reasons to believe only slightly Daunte Culpepper can at least keep the Lions close enough. It looked pretty good against Pittsburgh has enough in that start against Pittsburgh at week 5, when the Packers to give him some space, it will take a few points on the map.
Oakland (14) at Dallas
This may sound crazy, but a first-place team to play as bad as the Cowboys lately? A one point victory over Washington and a 17-7 loss in Green Bay that game was probably as bad as it was televised this season.
Is this an overreaction to a thrilling victory over the Bengals 7-2 Oakland above? Probably. Is there always a safe bet for their money in a guy whose name you may not write? Probably not. But the Raiders did not look like a team losing 14 points this week and the Cowboys need more than three days to get a crime in any type of rhythm after scoring only seven points against the skins.
New New York Giants (-6.5) over Denver
I'm still not sold on the Giants back to himself strong, but the Broncos are in disarray. After an embarrassing loss to the Chargers, the Broncos appear in the towel already been launched. They followed their bye week with a record of 6-0. From Then, they went 0-4, while Super 117-37. They do not know that to play at quarterback.
ATLANTA (-12) in Tampa Bay
Tampa I was lucky last week. They did not.
The Falcons, meanwhile, have just won a game over 12 points. But if Michael Turner can return (or if Jason Snelling can help in the same way as their performance against the Giants), then the Falcons should do well against a Buccaneers team has delivered three touchdowns passing, two rushing touchdowns and 183 yards rushing.
Miami (-3) at Buffalo
The weather looks good for Sunday in Buffalo, and Ricky Williams had an extra three days to rest my legs. Tony Sparano have inspired his troops to it.
Cleveland (+14) On Cincinnati
I make this choice with your eyes closed. Not always want the confidence Cleveland to nothing but failure, but I am not convinced that the team tested the Bengals can revive such a devastating defeat for the Raiders. I am not first questioned the Bengals this year, and if you can not blow the Browns, not the last.
Indianapolis (-3.5) over Houston
Really?
Seattle (-3) at ST. LOUIS
Thanks, NFC West, for giving us this game for ages. We all will stick to television.
New York Jets (-3) over Carolina
forgot the loss statistics Jets New England: Thomas Jones rushed for 103 yards. Against a defense that gives up Carolina's seventh most yards per game on the ground (130.7), Jones can El Salvador Mark Sanchez in the Meadowlands. Otherwise, it could get ugly.
(Note: How serious should be for the Jets Panthers still giving points after the stink bomb in Foxborough last week?)
PHILADELPHIA (-9) over Washington
Dangerous spread dangerous here. Stay away.
SAN DIEGO (-13.5) over Kansas City
Good news is that leaders have not burned three games. The bad news is that this week the team play before their 37-7 whipping week.
The Chargers, with two very winnable games against the Chiefs this week and Browns next week, we feel the division title. You can bet they will play hard for her.
Arizona (2) over TENNESSEE
Do not be too much clutter away by Vince Young. The only thing to watch is if Kurt Warner will play. If the cards should be fine. I know the Titans' defense has done OK against Andre Johnson, on Monday night (relatively speaking) but given the fact that the Titans are on a short holiday week with a smack in the middle of it (the same goes for the Texans), it would be foolhardy for selection.
Jacksonville (-3) at San Francisco
This is another danger. It's kind of life or death game for both teams. If the Niners to 4-7 down, you can kiss his series relatively faint hope. The Jaguars still have a chance in the AFC, has been dropped to 6-5, but things would be much easier if took seventh victory.
The Jaguars have shown they can win lately, but not my way. In his current streak of three victories, won by eight combined points. In addition, the Jaguars allowed 23.5 points per game, the Niners may 21. The Jaguars score 19.9 points per game, the Niners score of 20.8. It smells like a game that will be decided by a field goal, one way or another.
MINNESOTA (-10.5) over Chicago
No one looks over Vikings do now. Few teams are worse than the Bears (1-5 since their bye week). A gap of 10.5 points is never easy, but it could be as close as it gets.
BALTIMORE (-2.5) Over Pittsburgh
After this week we will have a definitive statistics to save Ben Roethlisberger suffered a concussion after. If your game is Roethlisberger, the Steelers are doomed. And after the Ravens' defense held Peyton Manning only 17 points the week Terrell Suggs do not last, giving an average of only 10.25 points per game since his departure in week 7. This can not be close.
New England (+3) at New Orleans
It is the most important game the Patriots played all season. After Indianapolis fiasco, he must believe in its worst days are behind them. Cons were errors Indy road. It's now or never for the New England Patriots know.
This game can live up to the hype, but if the Patriots can do what they have done in the first half of Indy and take the crowd out of the game early, they have learned the lesson of the second half and are ready to close a football match.
