How about the black man comment on the Imus situation?
http://sports.aol.com/whitlock/_a/time-for-jackson-sharpton-to-step-down/20070411111509990001 Jason Whitlock: Imus' words did no real damage. Let me tell you what we have damaged this week with coverage of sports USA Today Tuesday. The report of this country newspaper published an article in the NFL and crime and ran a picture of 41 NFL players who have been arrested in 2006. By my calculations, 39 of these players were black. We can not win the war on verbal contempt and racism when we have clearly and openly put back on its moral superiority on the subject. Jesse Al could win the battle with Imus and get him fired or severely neutered. But the war? We do not have a chance of war. Not when everyone knows "header ho layer is a compliment compared to what we allow black rappers to say about a black women every day.
What I can not overcome it, and if the races were canceled and one commentator said something derogatory black white? No word was said not one eyebrow raised. There are no threats of punishment or sponsor pulling … none of that. This is because whites are the cause of it all and is perfectly justified. That is why the rappers and their ilk are allowed to take their insults, is a blatant Such double standards are pathetic. Okay, Morg. Just read the article from Whitlock. One word, "brilliant."
