Players from the 70's and 80's constructed this league. Apparently, they should be supported at any threat to jobs. Gladiator's playing style is to take the job description. Compensation correspond to the danger.
I agree that it is likely that long-term effects play in the NFL. But no one had to play well. Were of agree to put health on the line of money from their contracts brought them. Most of them have a college degree, they are free to pursue a career outside football after college, but opted to play football. Do not get me wrong, I feel for these kids and the problems they encounter, but it was his choice, their own option to play in the NFL. The average NFL career is three years. This means that most players are retired by the time they are 30. Good really when they are 40. However, I have difficulty accepting that the NFL has to take care of them for the rest of 40-50 years of their lives. What did you do with your money? It's just my opinion.
